What is 120 FPS Recording?

The simple explanation is that your camera records at a screen refresh rate that is typically 60Hz, so each frame recorded takes up 16.67 ms of time. Recording at 120 FPS means that you’re doubling the amount of frames per second to play them back, while video recording results in smooth slow motion playback.

You can read more about the technical details of FPS here.

I was always confused about why people wanted to record video at 120FPS, but I figured it out when I started editing my videos and seeing what looked good in slow motion and what didn’t.

(Example: Opening a bag of chips) most current smartphones with decent cameras can shoot 720p or higher footage at 120 FPS. This makes for some really nice slow motion shots especially with anything that has movement, like water or hair blowing around in the wind.

Slow motion is always fun! Check out this video example.

What is Color Rendering?

In order to achieve a certain appearance for an object, the light has to have a certain color temperature. White balance or color rendering is used by photographers and cinematographers, to describe a camera’s ability to capture accurate colors under different lighting conditions. A low color temperature will give objects a blue tone whereas a high color temperature will give objects a yellowish/orange tone.

Why should you care about Color Rendering?

A higher dynamic range means you can see more details in shadows as well as highlights which makes your footage look better. By selecting the right white balance, you’ll be able to restore those lost details from underexposed shots, allowing for greater artistic control during post-production. Additionally it avoids having to color correct every scene, saving you lots of time.

What are the most common White Balance presets?

The most common presets are ‘Daylight’, ‘Shade’, ‘Cloudy’, ‘Tungsten’ and ‘Fluorescent’. These presets are known as “Kelvin” settings with the symbol being K.

How does Sam Kolder Relate to Color Temperature?

Color temperature is measured in Kelvin (K). The lower color temperatures correspond to bluish tones whereas the higher ones represent a more yellowish tone. When using lighting, you can use daylight or tungsten bulbs which have different color temperatures ranging from 2,500 to 6,500k.

It’s very important that your lighting is balanced properly for your camera’s white balance settings since it can change how your footage looks quite significantly.

How Does Sam Kolder Achieve such Amazing Color Rendering?

The first and foremost reason is its white balance presets. The camera has the following presets:

  • Daylight at 5400K
  • Shade at 7300K
  • Cloudy at 6500K
  • Tungsten at 3200K and
  • Fluorescent at 4300k

Using any of these presets will automatically adjust and correct for any lighting conditions and color temperatures giving you amazing results every single time! It even comes with a built-in powerful LED light which can be used as a video lamp or continuous light source.

This means you don’t need to use additional lights anymore! Watch this product review video by clicking on the title above.

Youtube As A Career?

For many years I have dreamed of being able to do something that actually makes me enjoy waking up in the morning. Something that allows me to wake up and know that I am going to work on things that are making a difference in my career.

Unfortunately, it’s not an easy task for most of us especially since there are so many distractions in this world today.
What Is It Like To Have A Full-Time Job? You get up, you go to work on days off, on holidays, you do all sorts of tasks which you wish you didn’t have to do because your heart isn’t really into it but at the end of the day you get paid.

That’s how it has always been for most of us ever since we entered the workforce. Our work is really just something we have to do because the pay is good enough even if it means working on weekends so our families can benefit from the earned money.

Happiness And Making A Living What makes people happy then? Watching their children grow up, being there for them or loving someone unconditionally are all possible ways that might make us satisfied with our lives at the end of the day even if we live paycheck to paycheck.

However, no matter how much love and attention you give your family, most likely they will become less dependent on you as they grow older. The same thing is with happiness too. When you feel down and depressed watching movies or reading books is one sure way to cheer yourself up but this excitement doesn’t last forever.

How Video Creators Make A Living And Can Actually Wake Up With A Smile?

I have been thinking about this for a while now and I am pretty sure that the only way to actually get satisfaction from your work is by doing something you love! Now, not everyone can become a surgeon or engineer but that doesn’t mean you are bound to living paycheck to paycheck either.

What if I told you that making videos on Youtube could be one of many ways to start exploring in order to find out what it would take so you can actually enjoy waking up every morning with the thought of getting ready for another day of opportunities?

After all, don’t we all love watching TV shows? Imagine yourself sitting in front of the screen with no distractions and just immersing yourself in the world those characters live in. It is an amazing feeling, isn’t it?

Now, I bet you already knew this because we all love stories and we watch content creators on YouTube for this exact reason to be able to travel to places we could never afford or even dream of traveling and see what they do on a daily basis.

Our Favorite Characters From TV Shows What if we try to go one step further? Imagine yourself as one of those characters from our favorite TV shows! You can drive your dream car, work at exciting jobs with perks that most people only read about, and basically hang out with your best friends almost every day.

Is this even possible? Well, it really depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it. We all have 24 hours a day and we can spend them as we want.

However, there is a problem that most of us cannot overcome because the majority of us still doesn’t know about videoOpens in a new tab. creation as a potential career path or simply lacks the resources to get started.

I am here to show you what type of equipment I use for my daily vlogging activities so you can think how serious you are about actually making money from your videos and whether or not this is something within your reach as well because as they say:

“knowledge is power.”

Alternatives to Sam Kolder’s Camera Gear

Before I go through the list of equipment that is necessary for creating videos there are a few disadvantages you should know about. For example, you will have to spend a significant amount of money on all this because it isn’t cheap but at least now you will know what you need in order to give yourself a chance to be successful. Now, let’s get into it!

The first piece of equipment that is absolutely vital for your success as a video creator is going to be the camera itself. In most cases, people use either GoPro or Canon as their primary cameras simply because they offer the best performance and because those brands are extremely popular so finding accessories or replacement parts won’t be a problem as well.

Even if you can manage to make money with cheap cameras like Canon Powershot or Nikon Coolpix, I would still recommend getting something more serious because people will expect high-quality content from your YouTube channel. Now, this is where the major pain starts!

  • Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless Camera
  • Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera
  • Sony a7C Mirrorless Camera
  • Sony ZV E-10 Mirrorless Vlogging Camera

What camera should you actually get?

There are so many models out there and each of them has its pros and cons that it’s almost impossible for someone who is not an expert in photography or videography to choose between all those brands and models.

I mean why would anyone want to spend good money on equipment that doesn’t do what it promises? So, after all these considerations here are three different types of cameras I personally considered before deciding to go with the cheapest one possible.

Out of all three options, I personally chose GoPro HERO4 Session because it comes with a whole bunch of accessories including a waterproof case so you can easily create videos from water and has a really decent battery life as well which is very important for traveling vloggers. However, there are many other promising candidates!

Alternatives to Canon 1DX Mark II

If you’re looking for a camera to take with you on shoots or to make videos, but don’t want to spend too much money, consider the EOS R6 Mirrorless Camera from Canon. It’s lightweight and easy enough to use that even a beginner can get good shots without a lot of effort. The battery life is decent and it has a flip-out touchscreen that makes Instagram photos and videos easier than ever!

The one drawback of this camera is that there aren’t any expensive lenses that are compatible with it yet. You’ll have to get an adapter if you want to use DSLR lenses on the EOS R6 Mirrorless Camera. Still, for people who are new to the world of cameras and just want something simple that they can use to take photos on vacation or at their kid’s soccer game, this is a great choice.

Alternatives to GoPro HERO7 Black

Want another option for an action camera? Get the ATC-CX HD 1080p Waterproof Sports Action Camera with WIFI from AIKE! This sleek, lightweight camera is waterproof up to 30 feet so it’s perfect for pool parties or scuba diving trips.

It has 4X digital zoom and you can edit videos right on your phone thanks to the camera’s built-in WiFi capability. The battery life is pretty darn good too, about two hours in optimal conditions!

A Final Word From Run Gun Shoot

Running a successful YouTube channel requires some serious skills and even more importantly, it requires you to invest in proper equipment.

Buying the right camera whether it’s GoPro or Canon is only half of the battle and can actually be considered as a piece of cake compared to the challenges you’ll face when buying all these accessories like microphones, stands, and especially lights because they’re extremely expensive.

You can always use your smartphone, but having a lightweight camera and lens will make so much sense to your videos.
